Construction of these coils makes a wonderful hobby, and has a surprising number of applications from experiments in wireless power (which was Mr. Tesla's dream) to producing X-rays, laser power supplies, plama globes, ball lightning, and many other inventions.  Many "weird" effects have been seen such as stopping car motors, causing a person holding a conductor nearby to lose muscle control (painlessly) as well as means of running millions of volts through a human body while doing no harm.

WARNING:  Sparks of up to 6 feet have been created by builders using this program.  You must keep in mind that these are not toys, even though the output from these coils is entertaining and wonderous to behold.

The software works with all IBM style PCs, even those with older graphic cards, and performs all the complex equations for leyden jars, plate capacitors, primary and secondary coils in a snap.  This frees you up to think about what you want your coil to do, and not the math involved.

If you are a first time builder, or otherwise new to Tesla Construction, you will want to get a simple construction manual on the subject in addition to the software.  Sources for these manuals are given at the end of the "on-line" manual within the program.
